Trade In/Store Credit-How it works
We have changed our trade-in policies due to the price increases in every product line we carry. With prices rising seemingly almost every month on our end from distributors we are, unfortunately, having to tighten up on our store credit policies.
Please try to understand this from a reasonable perspective. We are trying to avoid the pitfall of what other owners have told us about store credit usage in the early years which is simple: Watch out for people who want to live off store credit and never contribute monetary means to your shop and/or people who try to trade in a bunch of random cards that will never move for a card that will move. While this is blunt and may upset some people, they are 100% correct with their advice.

How much do you get for trade ins?
Depending on the condition and demand of whatever is traded in. We typically use TCG for cards and we will use the recently sold prices from TCGPlayer for any other kind of trade ins to get a general amount for store credit. See below.

$1.00-6.00 50% 70%
$7.00-24.00 50% 75%
$25.00-100 60% 85%
IMPORTANT: During the first week (including pre-release week) of a new product launch we will only offer 40% store credit for trade-ins and 30% for cash.
You cannot use store credit towards the purchase of new launch products during that initial week, this includes singles we may have. After the initial week everything reverts back to normal policies. This may sound bad, but it is to safeguard both parties involved. We do not want to overpay for products that might tank and we don’t want you paying higher prices for something that may tank as well.
What can I use store credit on?
You can use store credit on pretty much everything in the store, with the following guideline:
Singles: You can use 100% store credit to buy singles. Just don’t expect us to take your pile of twenty $1 bulk rares for a fetch land or something like that.
Sealed/New Standard Products: You can use 50% store credit towards the purchase of sealed product.
Premium products (Master sets/Collector’s Boosters and boxes): You can only use 10% of your store credit towards the purchase of these products.
What can you *not* use your store credit on?
-Secret Lair drops we order for you through the shop.
-Specialty product such as master series products or the like.
-Consignment items.
-Specialty orders we place/make for you-Yes, we will order cards off of TCG Player for you with a minimum mark-up starting at 5%.
-Event fees
How long will your store credit stay on the books?
Your credit will stay on the books 30 days unless otherwise agreed to. So, if you have store credit and you let it sit and sit and sit, there is a good chance that I will clear it. It is also only accessible to you. You can not send others in to get products or anything and use your credit.
These policies will change and grow as time goes on.
